Holy shit recap immediate recap thoughts – coolest day ever!! A limo, a helicopter, gorgeous views, ice cream aaaand the 2nd day hike in Bozeman, Montana! We photographed and filmed this one so Jake and I went all double date on it! A lot of plans As Bs and C’s happening buuuut that’s why we put in all the time to plan. Overall a really cool day for anyone who loves new places, mountains, and experiencing new things, and who doesn’t want to get married without all the fuss. This helicopter wedding in Montana really is a DREAM!
Kelsey’s known since the whole time old enough to know that she wanted to elope, very intimate, and a pure reflection of us. She wants something about THEM, not what everyone else wants. The one thing she knew she needed in her day was mountains. That’s where her heart lies, walking to mountain, dancing on a mountain… it just makes her feel complete.
Their AirBnB is in Gallatin Gateway, and the mountains in the background are POPPIN. These two rolled in their wedding day in STYYYYLE! Kelsey wore a gorgeous dress with a train for days and RJ looks fly in his white suit jacket and black bowtie. Major style points! They both wore timberlands hiking boots – hers was white and his is black.
Their first look is emotional and private in the backyard of their AirBnB. Happy tears are shed as the clouds blow by.
Helicopter wedding in Montana gives best day of all time
K&RJ get into their white stretch limo and are driven to the airport to catch their helicopter! Yes, helicopter! These two rollin’ in style with a stretch limo ride to their helicopter! Flying in the helicopter was smooth and had the BEST views! We saw antelope, buffalo and deer on our way to the mountain. We arrive in between weather fronts, so it’s sunny and beautiful when we arrive. The Gallatin River cuts through the canyon and there’s so many wildflowers. There’s just some MAGIC about traveling… we took off in one place and landed in a completely other place. Every new destination offers an awakening and a chance to collect pearls for the ultimate necklace of life experiences.
Montana is known for her unpredictable weather and we got a taste of it.
The secluded ceremony is absolutely stunning and 100% authentically what Kelsey & RJ wanted. They laugh, cry, and get fuckin MARRIED to their best friend! We can’t stay long before the storm, so we get outta there and head back to Bozeman. Upon landing, we find some more adventuring outside before it literally starts to POUR rain! Buckets! Jake saw it coming from 30 minutes away, buuuut ya girl wanted to soak in all the gorgeousness so of COURSE we get caught in it! We take cover, and get ready for dinner.
We decide on Open Range for dinner where there’s lots of local food to eat. Think, elk tenderloin, bison meatballs, and huckleberry sauce! DREAM! From there, we stroll the streets of downtown Bozeman and end the night at Genuine Ice Cream.
Day 2 – hike in Bozeman
Kelsey is rockin the all white look because she’s stylish like that! Lots of wildflowers poppin’ all over the place – lazy susans, blue bells, and more I can’t even name! RJ is a musician 70% of the time (his words) so we made up songs on the way up the hill about all sorts of things: pizza, Montana, mountains, hikes! It’s a blast, our cheeks hurt from smiling! We found CORGIS on our hike!! Two of them! We all know we’re dog people, so obvi obsession and lots of pets happened.

Jake and I photographed and filmed this helicopter wedding in Montana, which was perfect for Kelsey and RJ who love mountains and new experiences without the fuss. Their secluded ceremony was stunning, with laughter, tears, and an authentic celebration. Despite Montana’s unpredictable weather, we managed to capture all the beauty before heading back to Bozeman for more adventures. Dinner and ice cream tops off the night. The next day, we hiked it up and hot daaaamn do I want every single elopement day to have this feeling. The feeling of being in exactly the right place at exactly the right time. The feeling of dreams coming true! This helicopter wedding in Montana was truly a dream come true!
