WOW! I mean these guys saw such a huge part of the park just in one day. It’s a dream Montana adventure elopement in Glacier! They came a few days early and explored Many Glacier, Grinnel Glacier, Two Medicine. We start in Apgar Village in a quiet part of the park. Our girl, Sarah Harding officiated the ceremony beautifully to incorporate their love story. We have their ceremony on the shores of Lake McDonald with the gorgeous mountains in the background. The light is stunning (photographer NERD ALERT)! It’s sunny, it’s gorgeous, but it’s not too hot. We lucked out with the weather!
I’m their personal national park tour guide, showing them all the best spots of the park. They’re hilarious, we’re laughing our asses off all day long. My love language is humor (and cupcakes) so we get along great!

We go up the Going to the Sun Road up to Logan Pass. My favorite pull-out spots. Lots of wildlife. We make friends with a deer while we’re exploring the bright pink wildflowers. He’s just cruising along, wanting to be a part of the shoot, he wants to be my assistant. And. He’s. Hired. There are lots of challenges eloping couples face, but meeting up with adorable animals isn’t one of them! We take some pictures and soak in the beautiful insane mountain views. People give us allll the hype and I’m joining in to be their ultimate hype girl! We check out the highline trail.
Mums Weddings did her bouquet with a colorful wildflower look. The mission statement for today was two fold. First, wildflowers for Ed. Second, stars for Laura. I mean, of COURSE there’s adventure! What’s a Montana adventure elopement in Glacier without a little spontaneity! Next, we go to my favorite place for sunset photos in the park! The sunset doesn’t disappoint. It’s pink, magical, and the mountains know the assignment.
Pro tip: make sure your Montana adventure elopement photographer has a 70-200mm lens! It will make the mountains compress and look that much bigger!
That’s one of my favorite lenses at this location because of how it will make the mountains look like they are right behind you! The light fades into blue hour and that’s when I pull out the lanterns. We get some really moody, stunning lantern photos as the light fades. That was super fun being the photographer.
Next, we go to Laura’s favorite part of the day, the star photos!! One of the pros of having your wedding ceremony later in the day is you get to have star photos! We hike Hidden Lake Overlook trail where I find the perfect spot to see the stars! The magic happens! This is something that not a lot of photographers can do, so it’s something special that I wanted to do for Laura because the girl is obsessed with stars. Mission accepted, girl! I gottchu!
Something I love about star photos is you don’t really know what to expect because you can’t see all the small stars that aren’t seen with the naked eye. Once I open the shutter and let the light in for a few seconds, only then can you see the full impact! So let’s just give an extra WHOOOO on Laura & Ed’s ah-MAZING, intimate, elopement day!
