There is so much fun shit that we photographed in 2025! BIG highlight to the Hive team who helped capture more weddings than ever this year! Our couples this year were next level badass, and it’s our freaking HONOR to feature them in our Honeybee best of 2025 elopement & wedding photography. We’re talking dirt bikes, rainstorms, castles, ninja-like proposals, and a million popped bottles of champagne. Every time we look at these images, we get a profound sense of purpose. These couples are going against the stream of society and doing what THEY dream of, and that’s fucking awesome.

Apra & Andrew

Andrew knew two things:

1. He wanted to propose.
2. She wanted nice pictures.

What he didn’t know was where the heck to do it. Enter me—your local mountain matchmaker-slash-sneaky proposal ninja. I scope out the best spot ON the mountain, a place with that big open sky, that signature Montana glow, and views that scream, “she said YES!” If you want a guide on surprise proposals, check this out!

Andrew and Apra are total naturals in front of the camera (and let’s be honest, the mountain air helps them breathe through the nerves). And when she says yes? UGH. We have a champagne pop vibe without even needing the bottle.

The day of the proposal starts with kayaking across a calm Montana lake surrounded by towering mountain peaks. If you’re thinking about a hiking proposal in Glacier instead, check this one out! The water is glassy, the air feels crisp, and the timing could not have been better. They spend the afternoon exploring the lake, then head to our chosen sunset spot for photos.

Chenyu and Diana’s hiking proposal is the stuff of legends. We hike up to Avalanche Lake, and Chenyu pulls off the ultimate surprise. He’s been planning this with me for weeks! Like Secret Service-level planning. We map out the exact spot (yes, I literally give him an “X marks the spot” map). And because he’s extra thoughtful, he ships me a box filled with special trinkets that only mean something to the two of them. Think geo-cache, but make it romantic AF.

This was such a magical Yellowstone National Park proposal! Brittany reached out to me when she wanted the perfect proposal for her girlfriend, Shelby! We picked the perfect secluded spot by the river! I gave her an X marks the spot guide so she knew exactly where to go! Next, she sets up her little picnic for Shelby and gives her a letter to read as she proposes! After the proposal, we explore and take some ADORABLE photos!

Rosalie and Cameron wrote The Cardinal Rules of Engagement Sessions (Yes, I’m Making That a Thing)

1. When in doubt, move it out – We chose Hyalite Canyon because they’ve been there before and it meant something to them. Choosing a location that actually connects with your story? 10/10, no notes.
2. Make it meaningful – Whether it’s Gallatin Gateway or the top of a ski hill, it’s always better when it feels like you.
3. Bring a drink – Rosalie and Cameron cracked a cold one mid-session, and suddenly it was pure magic. Pro tip: beer = good photos.
4. Be wildly in love (and have fun, duh) – These two couldn’t stop laughing, skipping, and snuggling. It was basically an improv comedy show with a side of romance.

Holy sh*t—Ash and Sky’s French Quarter New Orleans Elopement is one for the history books. Like, WHAT DON’T WE DO?! These two don’t pick the “easy” choice or the “popular” choice—they pick the one that is theirs. That’s the real flex, right? They want to start their next chapter with marriage (and maybe a baby soon 👀), and French Quarter, New Orleans, is the only place big enough for their magic.

Right after the ceremony, Avery was literally buzzing, like “I am SO excited right now, this is exactly what I pictured.” And THAT is what it’s all about! These two started the planning process, totally overwhelmed, no clue what they wanted other than “something fun” and “not boring.” By the end of the day, they’re not just married, they’re F*CKIN MARRIED. Surrounded by their favorite humans, they’ve just lived through a dirt-bike-riding, pool-jumping, desert-dancing adventure elopement that felt 1000% true to them. And honestly? That’s the magic right there. That’s the secret sauce. That is exactly why I do what I do.

Mina & Robert – Glacier National Park

In Summer 2025, we helped Mina and Robert plan how to have a micro wedding, and their adventure was INSANE! First off, Glacier National Park is next-level gorgeous. You can pretty much elope anywhere in it and have a great time. When planning your micro wedding, there are definitely more elements involved, such as seating, catering, and places to stay. Lake McDonald is great if you want to hang out with your peeps and get in on the adventure. You can set up your base in Whitefish or Kalispell for breweries and fancy eateries, and still explore winding rivers and crystal-clear lakes. For a summer micro wedding, this is also the most popular section of the park, so planning for “off” times is a MUST, which is why we highly recommend your base being close.

Now, Kelly and Eddie are TROOPERS! They stated from the start that they ain’t worried about high summer temps. Love that. So Mother Nature said, “Boo! What about the cold?” Hive photographer Erin was on the ground with the loverbirds and said the day was 42 degrees! IN THE FREAKING SUMMER! It was rainy and windy, but you know what we say to that? Rain on your wedding day is lucky AF. Kelly and Eddie agreed. You couldn’t even tell they were freezing their butts off; they had huge smiles on their faces all day!

Chiara and her man basically said, “Yeah, we’ll take a barn, some longhorns, a horse or three, and throw in a f*cking sunset while you’re at it.” Honestly, 10/10, no notes. They’ve got every farm animal known to mankind — horses, cows, goats, chickens, rabbits — the full damn Noah’s Ark situation. Halfway through the day, they hop on their horses and start pushing cows. Do I know what that means? Absolutely not. Did I scream “YEEHAW” while flying my drone over Longhorn Steers? You bet your ass I did.

GNP micro wedding! This sweet couple came from Canada! A special moment here – he lost his momma recently, and he had a little framed photo of her inside his jacket pocket! A butterfly landed on him during the ceremony. Insert ugly cry sobs. Later, during the pictures, we went to this place, and HUNDREDS of butterflies took flight for them! The sweetest micro wedding everrrrr.

Okay, so first of all—if your Northern Ireland Elopement doesn’t include climbing what feels like 76 flights of medieval stairs, are you even doing it right?! Debbie and Kirstie are the literal definition of “down for anything.” From Kinbane Castle to Ballintoy Harbour to Giant’s Causeway, these two adventurers crush it in Northern Ireland. The wind is straight up a paid actor. The dress gives full cinematic drama. Their love is equal parts goofy and tender, shining through every single moment of the day.
