Holy sh*t—Ash and Sky’s French Quarter New Orleans Elopement is one for the history books. Like, WHAT DON’T WE DO?! These two don’t pick the “easy” choice or the “popular” choice—they pick the one that is theirs. That’s the real flex, right? They want to start their next chapter with marriage (and maybe a baby soon 👀), and French Quarter, New Orleans is the only place big enough for their magic.
Years ago, Ash and Sky spend just one night in New Orleans. After wandering Bourbon Street, soaking in the chaos and charm, they look at each other and say, “Yep. This is where we’ll come back and get married.” Flash forward to August 2025, and they f*cking do it! New Orleans definitely should’ve been added to our top elopement destinations of 2025!
We start at LaMothe House—a pink little dream (because of course Ash LOVES pink). The first look happens on the balcony, and Sky sees Ash in her dress for the first time—cue the tears. We swing by Savage Floral for a bouquet whipped up on the spot (all pink, duh).
Then, cue the POURING rain in the French Quarter. We duck into Café Pontalba for cheesecake and toasts, before heading to Jackson Square for their ceremony with the St. Louis Cathedral towering behind them. Honestly, if you want that iconic French Quarter Wedding chapel vibe but outdoors? Jackson Square is IT.
And because you can’t elope in NOLA without carbs, we hit Café Du Monde for beignets and a powdered-sugar toast. Hint, this is waaaaay better than a room full of wedding guests (some of which you might not even know) listening to an hour of toasts that nobody wants!
Ash and Sky are smart—they schedule a midday break (pro tip: YES PLEASE in the NOLA heat). After cooling off, we head to City Park for mossy oaks and bike rides in the rain. The thing I love about City Park (apart from the obvious coolness of those mossy oaks) is the activities! You can eat a beignet at Cafe du Monde, rent a bike, ride a paddle boat on the lake, and walk along the trees! All in one place!
Then, the grand finale: a Natchez Steamboat sunset cruise, wind in our hair, paddles chugging, vibes immaculate. The sunset cruise offers dinner, drinks, and even a live band!
Ash and Sky turn New Orleans into their playground—rain, beignets, riverboats, and all. They don’t just “elope.” They craft an adventure that screams them.
