How to Get Married in Northern Ireland

If you’re dreaming of your own Northern Ireland elopement, here’s the lowdown:

• Legalities: Give the General Register Office at least 8 weeks’ notice (though more is better). You’ll fill out marriage notice forms, provide your passports, and snag any relevant divorce/death certificates if applicable.
  
• Permits & Locations: Some spots, like Giant’s Causeway, require a photographer’s permit (~€100). I recommend going a few days early to pick it up and scope the area! Bonus, you’ll deal with way fewer crowds if you shoot closer to closing time. Park at the main visitor center for easy access.
  
• Kinbane Castle: A hidden gem with serious “GOT” vibes. Prepare for stairs, wind, and the most jaw-dropping cliffs you’ve ever seen. Kinebane Castle is one of my FAVORITE castles in Ireland! You’ll need a permit to get married there and one if you want to fly a drone there! Highly recommend, since the landscape is ah-MAZINGGGG!
