If you are into early mornings, micro weddings, and the magic of Glacier National Park, we have the wedding for you!! Jennifer and Kirt are one of those couples meant to be. Our hive photographer, Erin, had an absolute blast capturing this pair for their Sun Point micro wedding – complete with awe-inspiring sunrises, sweet vows, and even sweater readings and, in true Honeybee Wedding fashion, lots of adventuring all around! We made Glacier National Park their wedding playground.
Jennifer and Kirt are committed. Like a 1 AM wake-up kind of committed. IV me coffee please. Their Sun Point micro wedding vision was a sunrise ceremony, and we made it happen. The couple started early, dressed for the experience, and met our Hive photographer Erin for a parking lot party. IE sleepy hugs and half-thought-out jokes before she took the lead to their adventure spot!
The festivities start at Sun Point, beneath a sky so pitch-black it could resemble Wednesday Addams. BUT! It was so worth it. As twilight arrived, you could see the sun peeking over the mountains and illuminating the water behind them. Everyone was swoooooning. Totally worth the vampire wake-up call.
The sunrise ceremony at this West Glacier micro wedding was one of the sweetest we have ever had. Their kids were there, and it was clear how excited they were. Jennifer said her favorite moment was when the kids read a poem and an excerpt at the ceremony! Everybody was crying, even the kids! It was beautiful.
We had the most gorgeous light for their family photos and couple portraits, ahm, this is exactly why the early time is always worth it. The mountains were GLOWING, there was a light BREEZE, and it was WARM. Like, truly the best freaking day ever. The wind picked up enough to create a good flow on Jennifer’s dress, and the sunlight hit the mountains so they nearly glowed. When the couple arrived at Logan Pass, they expected to freeze their butts off, but it was 70 degrees and beautiful.
The newlyweds enjoyed some champ pops (an essential celebration ritual) and read letters from their moms. After Logan Pass, we went to Big Bend, and it was actually perfect. One of the reasons we recommend a Sun Point micro wedding is ‘cause there are soooo many other places to explore nearby. You get the best of everything! If you want a venue or a great place to stay nearby, check out Small and Micro Wedding Venues With Prices in West Glacier, MT – The Knot.
Another Honeybee Weddings favorite Glacier underrated spot – Siyeh Creek. CANNOT recommend it enough. The wildflowers were poppinnnn. The mountains tower above but descend into a lush greenery before dropping into the rocky creek. It has everything in one spot!
Jennifer and Kirk’s wedding was flawless start to finish. We’re so excited for the couple and their perfect little family! Cheers to more adventures and many more laughs!
