Torrey Pines Best West Coast Elopement Locations, complete elopement checklist

Everything about this day just felt right. From the very first “heeey!” we knew we found our kind of people! We laughed with Deb and Phil from the very beginning, and Torrey Pines State Reserve did not disappoint. The orange bluffs and greenery make this San Diego adventure session at Torrey Pines look like a scene straight from the Greece countryside. Located just north of San Diego, it’s the perfect spot to spend the day! Not only is San Diego one of our all time favorite winter elopement locations, the chill surfer vibe is hands down the most relaxed you’ll ever be!

These two are clearly so madly in love! As soon as they meet, they immediately know they are right for each other. Both of them have such a great sense of humor, Jake and I could’ve hung out with them all night. We climb up rocks (a biiiiig shout out to Deb who was a total badass and did everything in heels!), hiked around the bluffs, and then ditch our shoes at the beach.

By the time we make it to the beach, the sun is setting. The color of the sunset is indescribable, but let me try. For you. You need to hear all about this because we haven’t seen a sunset quite like it. The sun is a bright shade of pink and orange as it sets behind the ocean. No shock so far. The crazy thing is that the light on the beach turned a shade of blue, while the direct sunlight on the couple is holding onto that orange hue. Indescribable, amiright?! I guess you’ll have to keep scrolling to see the full magic.
