Okaaaay, honeys. Nicole & Darryl’s winter elopement in Montana is literally the definition of iconic. These two hop on a plane from Houston, Texas, to live out their Montana winter wonderland dreams—and they nail it. From day one, Nicole wants a winter wedding and with eloping, it really lifts the weight of planning!

We kick off the day at Moonlight Basin, where these cuties are staying. Hair and makeup magic? Courtesy of the amazing Beauty by M (Madison, you’re a rockstar!).

First stop: Ousel Falls for their ceremony. Picture this—frozen waterfall, snowy woods, and a vibe so magical it’s giving Iceland. Orlinda officiates a heartfelt ceremony complete with a handfasting tradition that has us all tearing up. Nicole’s dream of a winter wedding? CHECK.

Nicole surprises everyone with her adventurous spirit, climbing icy terrain for those jaw-dropping shots. And let me tell you, the light is serving photographer’s dream realness.

We ride a ski lift (adventure goals!) to get a GREAT view of Andesite Mountain, where skiers hype them up with cheers and whistles. Oh, and Santa and his TWO reindeer make a cameo because, duh, it’s Christmas magic. 

This place will go down in history as one of my all time FAVORITE winter elopement locations! 

After minty shots with the locals at the summit bar (so Montana), we head to Alpenglow at Montage for a cozy five-star dinner. Appetizers, cocktails, and all the warm vibes? Yes, please!

To wrap up the day? Star photos. Because what’s a winter elopement without capturing the night sky in all its glory?
