I’m your Amsterdam elopement photographer
When I think of Amsterdam, I think of Venice canals, but with a twist – a vibrant LGBTQ+ community proudly strutting their stuff down the streets. The concept for the Adventure Workshop in Amsterdam came from the inspiring buildings, and beautiful diversity. It’s so refreshing and I really care about diversity, inclusion and creating a space where our LGBTQ+ community feels safe. The Adventure Workshops are here to shout from the rooftops that elopements are smaller, not shorter! Eloping couples deserve a full, adventurous wedding day!
Cue Lux Weddings by Lynn, our fearless planner, who’s as skilled at orchestrating romance as Taylor is at dropping surprise albums. With a vision board that screamed “colorful disco dreams,” we bring on Annie & Grace, our real-life lovebirds all the way from England.
Our venue? Het West-Indisch Huis, just minutes away from Amsterdam Central! It’s the perfect place to see picturesque houses and canals just steps away. If you’re looking for cheap wedding venues in the Netherlands, this is a great option! With the help of our floral magician Catya Alves, we transform the space into a floral wonderland. It’s pretty funky with pops of reds, pinks, and disco balls! It’s the perfect design for an Amsterdam elopement!
But wait, the fun doesn’t stop there! Picture Annie & Grace, our adorable lesbian couple getting dolled thanks to our glam squad led by Shirley Bollegraf. With hair and makeup on point, these ladies are so ready!

The Adventure Workshop isn’t your average content shoot, we do some really cool sh*t! We board our specially curated boat, Rederij Prinsengracht for a ride through the canals! There’s seriously no better way to see Amsterdam than from the canals. It’s basically like a Venice of the north! Disco balls, funky flower arrangements and champagne deck the boat! We set sail through the heart of Amsterdam, channeling our inner “Cruel Summer” vibes. Amsterdam gay nightlife is off the charts and we have our own partaaaay! We stop at various picture-perfect spots, sip champagne, and dance it up.
As our Amsterdam gayborhood elopement journey came to an end at Amsterdam Central, we pop the champagne! Cheers to living our best lives in Amsterdam! Cheers to inclusion, love, support and cheers to the Amsterdam Adventure Workshop!
