Gift Guide for Elopement Photographers: Travelers

Monos is a Must

We are starting with the basics here. We are OBSESSED with our Monos bags AND the packing cubes.

This season, give a photographer gifts they really want. Our Gift Guide for Elopement Photographers is outside the box.

They are built last, have a sleek look, and of course are sustainable. Monos’ motto (say that three times fast) is “We’re all guests on this planet, so it’s our responsibility to tread lightly and give back.” We support a company who supports the planet. That simple. Learn more about our conscious tourism philosophy.

Scrubba

This season, give a photographer gifts they really want. Our Gift Guide for Elopement Photographers is outside the box.

If you haven’t heard of Scrubba we are here to blow your mind. The Scrubba wash bag allows you to wash clothes anywhere IE traveling, backpacking, camping. ANYWHERE! It provides a machine quality wash in just minutes. Simply add water, clothes and cleaning liquid, close the bag and deflate. Rub the clothes against the internal washboard for 30s to 3min, rinse and hang to dry.

We know this isn’t the sexiest gift to get. But neither is being dirty and stinky. Throw the Scrubba in the stockings. Trust us, traveling has never been the same.

Gift Guide for Elopement Photographers: Camera Equipment

Mirrorless Camera

This season, give a photographer gifts they really want. Our Gift Guide for Elopement Photographers is outside the box.

Our buddies at The Photographer’s Passport break it down, “If you want a camera that you know is going to produce really great travel photos, for the everyday consumer there are two clear choices, either a DSLR or mirrorless camera.  There are pros and cons to both options but when it comes to travel photography I believe that a mirrorless camera is the better option.  Both cameras are capable of extremely high image quality and in many ways are very similar.  Though one defining factor that means that mirrorless cameras are much more suited to travel photography, is their size and weight.” If mirrorless is for you, we recommend the Nikon Z 7II FX-Format Mirrorless camera body.

Cost: $2,496.95

Our favorite accessories to go along with the Nikon are:

Nothing like a little fall chill to start planning what layer should be on your gift guide for elopement photographers. Our favorite outer layers: a packable rain shell to block wind and/or unexpected rain, and something warm – depending on the season and location this may be a down jacket, a fur wrap, a chunky sweater, or a wool shawl. Brands we love; Fjallraven, Patagonia, Arcteryx.

Portable First Aid Kit

You can’t go wrong with an emergency kit. On our gift guide for elopement photographers we have included the Portable First Aid Kit we found From The Foxes. From sting relief wipes to bandages to tweezers for removing ticks, this little kit will come in handy a lot. And the best part is how small and light it is!

Let’s be real. This is the tip of the iceberg on our favorite hiking gear. If you want even MORE IDEAS, check out our Ultimate Adventure Elopement Gear Guide.

Gift Guide for Elopement Photographers: Experience Junkies

I said it in Costa Brava, I said it in Iceland, I will say it everywhere I go. I think the most important thing that I like about being an elopement photographer is this chance for you to travel to another place and that leads you to this opportunity to soak in the culture, the sites, the smells, the sounds, all these things. When you’re able to travel to another country, you are learning about more than just yourself through this adventure.

Clearly experience motivated people, every elopement photograph can use an experience for themselves. Book that helicopter ride, take that cruise, explore a new trail together. Plan an evening picnic, take a bike ride together, hop a vespa. We spend HOURS to DAYS coming up with adventures for our couples, now it’s our turn!

This season, give a photographer gifts they really want. Our Gift Guide for Elopement Photographers is outside the box.

Slip an experience into an envelope to get the “opening” effect and then enjoy it later! We also have a couple physical gifts for our experience junkies on our gift guide for elopement photographers if that is more your style.
