Bailey & Garrett want to elope because they form tight bonds with their closest friends, but the big groups really aren’t their jam. They value experience over things, so all they want to do was to spend the day with their friends and then take their honeymoon on the road with a multi state road trip. They call their besties and their families for a Montana micro wedding in Wise River, Montana. The Big Hole River cuts through the canyon and there are huge mountains on either side of the valley. B&G’s wedding day is the absolutely perfect full wedding day! There isn’t a cloud in the sky, it’s about 70 degrees, and we couldn’t ask for anything more!
pro tip: book a couple session for some adventure before you get ready for your wedding day!
We hopped on a golf cart from Silverbow Club and rode down to where horses were hanging out. Let’s be honest, any time I can ride a golf cart is a good day! Bailey & Garrett are wearing their cowboy hats and boots. We get to capture them having fun, enjoying the day before the anticipation really sets in. We laugh and have so much fun, while the horses all want to get in the photos.
Next, we capture ALL the excitement of the couple getting ready. They each have their closest friends and family there to help them! Bailey’s bride tribe help her into her dress and Garrett’s crew makes sure to tell him when he’s being all awkward. Good friends to have around!
Their ceremony is sweet and intimate. The arch cascades in greenery and the chairs are in front of the arch. The couple entered from the side of the arch, instead of up the middle. We thought this was a really great way to go, especially for such a small, intimate, Montana micro wedding. Garrett can’t wait any longer to kiss his bride!
It’s all party time after that! We document this adorable soaking in that they are freakin MARRIED and the family can’t wait to celebrate with them. The friends that these two have go back DECADES, so being able to be present for all that is really humbling. These two downsized to an intimate wedding and they kept it so special!
We LOVE their reception dinner set up! Too many all caps, but I’m sorry not sorry – this wedding was freakin gorgeous! The table is one long farm table with twinkle lights that came up and over it. If you’re ever wondering how to make your Montana micro wedding feel magical, always bring the twinkle lights! They dance under the stars as their live band, The Dirt Farmers, plays. We got some star photos at the end of the night right after an epic cake smash!
