If you’re a food lover gearing up for your elopement, we know you’re thinking about the best wedding destination for foodies. Food has brought people together for centuries and across cultures. It’s meant to share in the taste of a meal and create memories that last. Your elopement is an opportunity to feel the love of not just of each other, but the thought put into your wedding meal! This will be further sensationalized by the celebration of love and life brought together! IE, it’s a big fucking deal.

While we love a couple that chooses Costco Pizza or In N Out after their nuptials – some of our best times TBH, there is also something to say about choosing a best wedding destination for foodies. On our list it’s more than just the food (guaranteed delicious), but the ambiance and what you want your wedding night to look like.
Majorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands, which are part of Spain, and the seventh largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. Touch down on the mainland then ditch the crowds for the quiet charm of the Majorca beach.

Steps from the port in Majorca, Spain is YARA Restaurant. YARA – in Hindi means friends and bring in the light. YARA boasts a modern Japanese-Mediterranean cuisine that is authentic but not traditional. The menu offers a variety of dishes from the three cuisines: Main Kitchen, Sushi Counter and Robata Grill. With a separate vegan and carnivore menu, all needs will be met. Enjoy the bluefin tuna tataki with avocado, ponzu and yuzu or denton fish ceviche with passion fruit and pineapple. Vegan taste buds will delight in the broccoli tempura with ponzu sauce or creamy japanese rice with pesto and roasted vegetables. Talk about a personal wedding restaurant reception. Make it a two day elopement and explore the Caves of Drach!
Which place is best for a destination wedding? Our pick in Italy is in Aosta, also known as the “The Rome of the Alps”. If you LIKE the idea of Rome, but are looking for something less touristy, sorry, Lizzie, this is for you. Off the beaten path, it’s a much more secluded part of Italy. Here, you’ll want to eat at Ristorante Osteria dell ‘Oca for traditional Italian food in an untraditional space. Ask to be seated in the “cave a vins” cellar, located on the 2nd underground floor with exposed stone walls.
To satisfy any foodie, you’ll find stewed venison with polenta, cod with potatoes, bagna cauda served with a rich plate of raw vegetables. Sample their roasted pork shank and Paris style snails. You are in France after all! Another foodie fix – the three goose-based dishes called the “tris dell’oca” (cold cuts and foie gras), bigoli (fresh pasta) with duck meat sauce and roast goose leg.
Of course, they also have numerous types of pizza, kneaded with love and secret flour. Choose the “Pizza dell’Oca”, a white pizza with duck salami and “Roquefort” French cheese in the crust. End your night with daily homemade sweets such as the “bunet” (a chocolate and macaroons pudding ), panna cotta with vanilla and hazelnut creme caramel.

When you are in Amsterdam, you have to do things a bit differently! A majooorrr cultural mecca up in here, the food is downright guilty in Amsterdam. During our Amsterdam Gayborhood Elopement we were off romping around and finding theeeee best spots. At the top of the list (literally) is Moon. Situated on the 19th floor of the A’DAM Tower, overlooking the IJ river, you’ll get a 360º view of Amsterdam in this rotating restaurant.

Choose between a 4, 5, or 6 course meal and be open to the experience. Due to the irregular changes in their menu, you won’t find a fixed menu on their website. Included in the experience is a wine pairing OR a tea pairing if that’s more your thing! Dietary preferences and allergies can be communicated when making a reservation in the notes.
What is the number one wedding destination in world? Hands down France. Now it may not be Vanderpump Villa, but the Chateau de Courtomer Estate is, chef’s kiss. A French chateau luxury elopement experience comes with a local chef, and you can center the meal around classic French cuisine. This is your time for escargot, baguettes, a savory quiche. Make sure you pop the CHAMPAGNE! Having a local chef to care for you is the very best way to celebrate your elopement. There’s nothing that speaks to luxury more than good food and good wine.

FUN FACT – This chateau was actually our Honeybee pick from our 7 luxury resort wedding venues. It is a mix of the stylish and classic elegance of a forgotten era blended with 21st century comfort and convenience. Stroll through the little town of Courtomer, just a few minutes walk. You’ll find a charming little town of perfect little espresso shops and fresh baguettes. The estate is over 350 acres of lush trees, rose bushes, fountains, and moats. It connects you to the best of rest and relaxation.
I’m just a girl who loves my home state, so I have to give credit where it’s due. The Whitefish Mountain resort books up to two years in advance if you want in! As for the best wedding destination for foodies, we have to highlight Whitefish for their stuffed spinach ravioli, a vegetarian kryptonite. For meat lovers, the crusted chicken breast over mashed potatoes with a white gravy was perfection. The fish option was a lake trout that one of our grooms was very excited about. Check out our Whitefish Mountain Resort Wedding to learn more about this pick.

Have a seat in The French Laundry’s courtyard which Vogue describes as, “a culinary connoisseur’s Garden of Eden: filled with Japanese maples, purple leaf plums, white climbing roses, and most importantly, Chef Thomas Keller’s three-Michelin starred cuisine.
Tasting menus are released daily and have included items like: Applewood smoked wolfe ranch white quail, Hawaiian yellowfin tuna, and cave aged comte terrine (TBH don’t know what is but they had me intrigued at cave-aged). No dinner is complete without dessert! Finishing off this menu is a K+M Peruvian chocolate which consists of cocoa crunchy and cocoa nib infused cream. Check out a sample menu.
Where is the most popular place to get married? Vegas, baby! Now from the outside this may not seem like our vibe. We always take our couples somewhere that is less touristy, and more adventurey! Now Vegas is entirely what you make of it. If you want to go on the strip and pay 5x the cost for a mediocre burger? Well you might as well bring your man in finance, with a trust fund, 6’5″, and blue eyes. If you are looking for a Honeybee Wedding experience, we will give you something outside of the box.
Where every foodie needs to sit down and open up at is Sparrow + Wolf which refers to itself as a neighborhood cookery with libations. TBH this cocktail menu in itself is insane. After you exchange vows, come here for a It’s Mint to B cocktail or a Lovelady beer. For dinner, savor the four course tasting menu complete with wine pairings. You’ll enjoy oxtail hummus, pan seared scallop, black pepper and honey pork secreto for example. Las Vegas comes at you with all the food ideas!
When you have a Las Vegas adventure elopement, we recommend Biking – Friends of Red Rock Canyon. The views here are absolutely INSANE! If you have yet to see the red rocks, stop, drop, and book your ticket. 20 minutes from the Las Vegas airport and you’re in a totally different world. Also, if you are a concert lover, make THAT your reception!!! Dance with all your new friends and soak in marital bliss. We will curate the ultimate elopement experience for YOU!

When you’re at a best wedding destination for foodies, you can have an intimate celebration, overlooking your dream travel location, checking off your bucket list, AND marrying your honey, all while tasting the best food of your fucking LIFE!
