We are suckers for a surprise proposal! When Ben called us weeks before “the day,” he was oozing excitement out of every pore. He asked if Jake and I could come along and secretly capture his proposal. He wanted the best for his future wife and he knew he would take the best adventure he could find. The way he couldn’t WAIT to tell someone about his plans just melted our hearts.
Flash forward to proposal day. It was cloudy when we drove up to Mt. Aeneas, but what we didn’t realize is that as we hiked up to the top, we were IN the clouds. Yup. We hid on top of the mountain and then stalked them as casually as we could! Haha! We couldn’t see anything but clouds blowing all around us. I mean, sure, it’s magical, but Ben and Sam came all the way from Florida for this view. Would it happen??
When we could tell the moment was about to happen, we got a bit closer and captured such a meaningful moment! Sure enough, the sunshine broke through the clouds just as Ben got down on one knee and proposed to Sam. She was completely surprised… and she said yes!
After we all wiped our happy tears away, we had a fun session romping around the mountain and soaking in the views. The pure excitement and joy between these two is so infectious!
