HI BARBIE!! Anyone else waking up in the morning and feeling extra pink lately? We are OBSESSED with Barbie and all things Barbiecore. Also, we know Ryan Gosling has received some heat for being an *old * Ken, but he will always be Noah Calhoun in our hearts and he will remain forever young. Cue elopement Barbie!

“It is literally impossible to be a woman. You are so beautiful, and so smart, and it kills me that you don’t think you’re good enough. Like, we have to always be extraordinary, but somehow we’re always doing it wrong.

You have to be thin, but not too thin. And you can never say you want to be thin. You have to say you want to be healthy, but also you have to be thin. You have to have money, but you can’t ask for money because that’s crass. You have to be a boss, but you can’t be mean. You have to lead, but you can’t squash other people’s ideas. You’re supposed to love being a mother, but don’t talk about your kids all the damn time. You have to be a career woman but also always be looking out for other people.

You have to answer for men’s bad behavior, which is insane, but if you point that out, you’re accused of complaining. You’re supposed to stay pretty for men, but not so pretty that you tempt them too much or that you threaten other women because you’re supposed to be a part of the sisterhood.

But always stand out and always be grateful. But never forget that the system is rigged. So find a way to acknowledge that but also always be grateful.

You have to never get old, never be rude, never show off, never be selfish, never fall down, never fail, never show fear, never get out of line. It’s too hard! It’s too contradictory and nobody gives you a medal or says thank you! And it turns out in fact that not only are you doing everything wrong, but also everything is your fault.

Hiking Elopement Barbie

Our Hiking Elopement Barbies are badass. They wake up before the birds get the worms and lace up their boots. They treasure sunrises and kiss on mountains. If you’re a hiking elopement barbie, we are here to help you with the little things that will make your day perfect!

1. Breakfast. You need something to start your day. Bagels, breakfast bars, your Ken or Barbie bringing you an iced coffee. Yes, please.
2. Hair ties. Barbie loves a good scrunchy. Invest in a hair tie that doesn’t leave crease marks. Throw it back in a pony and let it loose at the top!
3. Boots. Pick out a pair of white boots to go with a white dress. Dark boots will distract in the photos. Feel free to try them out a couple of times to break them in, then clean and store them until the big day.
4. Headlamps.  Headlamps are a must if you’re hiking in the dark before sunrise or after sunset (gotta get those epic shots and enjoy the views!!). At Lindsey and Vance’s Holland Lake Falls hiking elopement we had both headlamps and lanterns, which are SO underrated. 5. Dance. Our feet are flat for a reason – dancing! One of the aspects we love most about a hiking elopement is all the time you get together on the trails. It’s a time for reflection, for sharing hopes, and definitely for dancing! Start your marriage off on a fun foot.

Shout out to Ashley & Steven who choose a Glacier National Park hiking elopement. Firstly, they’ve never really been the people to picture their wedding or obsess about decor, or the flowers, or the food, or all the somewhat meaningless details that large wedding days have. International Elopement Barbie

CIAO BELLA Barbie! Get your passports ready, foreign elopement Barbies are ready to take on the world with their love. We are allll about embracing the culture you are eloping in. Our 2023 couple, Sarah and Angelo soaked up all the Italian culture in their Lake Garda elopement.

1. Morning. They began their elopement day by brewing up some authentic Italian coffee and savoring delicious cannoli. Ah, the perfect start to a laid-back morning as the sun slowly rose, casting a warm glow on the yellow, orange, pink, and red houses that adorned the lakeside.
2. Traveling in style. Sarah and Angelo took on the picturesque town of Malechine, Italy with their vespa. They pass sailboats, paddle boarders, and wind surfers against the backdrop of majestic mountains. Oh, we could have captured them on those vespas forever, but alas, we had to make way for the drone that caught them in action, driving joyfully around the lake. Yes, DRONE. We always get your good sides. 
3. Admin. Not the romantic part of foreign elopement Barbie but, without doing your admin first you may not make it across the border. Think about your passport months in advance, don’t go changing your name at the last minute!, convert your money, get your electronic adapters, and don’t forget the weather is in Celsius !

Adventure Barbie

For all the Barbie girls who want all the beauty in nature and also to just have the most fun days. WE ARE HERE FOR YOU! Our Glacier elopement at Two Medicine is a prime example of how different adventure elopements can be from couple to couple. We did things a little differently for Bianca and Max’s elopement and we are HERE FOR IT. We’re firm believers that our couples should do whatever the f*ck they want. They include some sweet wedding traditions. This meant waking up at sunrise, having a teary-eyed first look, sharing a wedding ceremony with huge towering mountains behind them, cutting a cake and eating it for breakfast, and sharing their vows to each other without anybody around. Not only is Two Medicine one of the most secluded areas in Glacier National Park, but it checks all the boxes: mountains, lakes, and of course waterfalls! 

So, what does it mean to be an Adventure Elopement Barbie?

1.  Locations PLURAL. Our Adventure Elopement Barbie knows she doesn’t have to pick just one spot to solidify her love. Jump in a lake, stand under splashing waterfalls, find a mom and pop lunch spot to refuel! Pop the champagne in a parking lot and cheers to having the best love everywhere you go.
2. Fantasy suites. If you go somewhere cool, you have to stay there! This is the rule for our Adventure Elopement Barbies. Don’t let the day start and end. Keep the love going, keep exploring, your Barbie dreamhouse will be waiting for you after your adventure!
3. Outfit changes. We recommend several outfit changes. Wear the dress, but bring a pair of walking shoes. Embrace when things change and go barefoot dancing in the river with your love. There are no rules! TBH that’s our favorite thing about elopements. You have already done the hard work of kicking tradition out the door and now you are free to do, literally, anything YOU want! 

Our Adventure Elopement in Lake Tahoe Barbie, Kerry and Brad, understood the assignment. Their style is on point! He’s rocking an Indochino custom suit. It features green linen and tropical leaf vibes on the inside of the jacket. For their hiking backpack (not a feature typically coordinated for the wedding!) Kerry rocked a yellow backpack to match the yellow flowers that she had in her bouquet and on his boutonniere. This adventure elopement in Lake Tahoe is stylish down to their kicks – matching custom dated converse! Kerry then switched out the converse for velvet green heels to coordinate with Brad’s suit. Fucking beautiful, these fashinastas.

Seeing Barbie had us doing a deep dive of her origin story and the hype of Barbiecore.

For Barbie’s creator, Ruth Handler, it was important that Barbie represent what a woman could be and that was reflected in the doll’s clothes—an outfit could create not only different look, but a career or a lifestyle.

We have some elopement brides that come to us committed to doing the damn thing. But we have just as many that are nervous.
