We hike up Hunter Canyon Trail with Nara, Pete and their two adorable dogs! The weather is a little chilly as we take the walk up the canyon with the towering red rocks all around us. We love the trail for its water crossings and little arch at the end. Is it wrong to be so obsessed with those red rock colors?! No?! Ok I didn’t think so. We would do this Moab engagement photos at Kane Creek over and over again!

Pro tip: if you’re getting engagement photos in Moab, bring layers!

The Kane Creek area is a really cool spot for an adventure too. There are lots of 4×4 trails with hiking and camping. The canyon leads to lots of really cool views overlooking the valley. Kane Creek Road is an adventure in itself. It seemed less well known than the other off-roading areas near Moab, so we were happy to find it. The Colorado River running through it was idyllic! If you’re ever thinking of eloping in Moab, we say DEFINITELY do it!

We met Nara and Pete through a mutual friend. They were totally up for exploring Moab with us and doing some engagement photos. They’ve lived in Moab for 8 years, so they recommend this awesome place. It’s somewhere they go to throw sticks for their pups. We always recommend bringing your fur babies to your engagement session! Especially when they can run after sticks, dig for rocks, and just basically be really adorable.
