This year has been like no other. We’ve lived through a pandemic, serious questions about our criminal justice system, and so many happy wedding days. There were some GREAT moments of 2020, so we’re here to show you the best of them. One thing we’ve learned about this year is that things won’t always turn out how we’ve planned them, but they’ll be even more magical than we could’ve expected. We’ve come to expect the unexpected around here.
We refuse to take anything for granted as we look back on the meaningful experiences we’ve had. Our couples have gotten married on mountaintops, held hands as their wedding guests cheered after the “you may now kiss the bride” moment, skied their way into our hearts, summited a mountain, flown across the country to propose, and even thrown axes on their wedding day.
These are the moments that really make us FEEL something.
These moments often are the little things during the day that are meaningful beyond words. These moments happen in a blink of an eye. They are the moments that we can’t put into words. We look for the unscripted moments filled with cherished memories. Wedding days are all about those unexpected surprises, laughter, and in this year specifically, taking in those bittersweet moments. Not all of our guests could attend this once in a lifetime day in person, but they were in your hearts, and that is something that a lot of couples had to cope with.
Brides had to get creative with how they celebrated their wedding days, and they really hit it out of the park. They live streamed their ceremonies, added videography to their wedding packages to make sure every angle was covered, and even brought their families up the mountain to elope before their larger celebration next year. It takes a LOT of heart to plan a wedding, but these couples dealt with emotional rollercoasters that we wouldn’t wish on anyone. Jake and I truly believe that their marriages were made stronger because of it.
The world was our stomping ground, as we traveled all around Montana, venturing into Glacier National Park (our home away from home), Yellowstone National Park, Bozeman, Whitefish, Helena and Big Sky. We even photographed an adventurous couple in Moab, Utah!
Enjoy our best moments of 2020.
